Brown Family | Nashville Maternity Session

Nashville Maternity and Family Photographer- Blue Linen Maternity Dress with lots of natural light at a lifestyle fine art film Nashville maternity session Austin and Anna invited me to their gorgeous home outside of Nashville for this maternity session. It delights me to showcase this darling maternity session of a very dear friend of mine! Anna is the owner of the brilliant letterpress and calligraphy company, Olive Juice Press. Aside from being incredibly talented, she and her husband Austin are the sweetest most caring people. I was particularly eager for this shoot because their beautiful home has amazing natural lighting. And the clean, natural style of this house absolutely speaks my language and allows space for simplicity and creativity.

Watching a couple grow their family is one of the most precious and beautifully delicate parts of my job. There is no other canvas like two people who are about to become mother and father, none. Trying to envision your new baby and what this new person is going to bring to your family, what they’re going to look like, smell like, sound like brings both peace and heart flutters! Anna and Austin are so incredibly connected and you can see on their faces the uncomplicated sweetness that comes from the love that a parent possesses for their baby.

I’m so glad Anna and Austin took the time to have this maternity session. It is such a beautiful way to remember what it was all like just before their precious baby came into their lives and how it made them feel. As with any photoshoot, it forces you to stop and breathe and just take in the moment for what it is. I encourage everyone to this! Take the time to remember. Congratulations Austin and Anna!

Justin + Elizabeth | Nashville Engagement Session

What is more beautiful than a Tennessee spring day? Seriously! This is the time of year when I absolutely love getting outside with a beautiful couple to let the lens take advantage of the light, the movement, and the all-around freshness that an outdoors spring engagement session gives. This particular evening, I had the pleasure of photographing Elizabeth and Justin for their engagement session. The Percy Warner Park Stairs in Nashville with it’s old limestone, new blooms from trees and flowers, and stunning open fields provided the ultimate enchanting location for this gorgeous couple. This was the perfect location for this Nashville Engagement Session!

Music City worked it’s magic on Elizabeth and Justin! They met at a concert here in downtown Nashville. It seems once they found each other their love for music and one another took off! “We’ve seen so many shows together and traveled all over the country to see some of our favorite bands,” Elizabeth happily explains. But one of my favorite parts of Justin and Elizabeth’s love story is their engagement. While on a beach vacation with Elizabeth’s family, Justin popped the question! Elizabeth recalls the day perfectly, “Justin SERIOUSLY surprised me with the proposal. I had NO clue even though all of our close friends and family had known for months. He got advice on the ring from both of our parents and my best friend, and totally tricked me into setting up our go-pro to take pictures of the whole thing.”

As a photographer, I am thrilled to be around couples like Justin and Elizabeth. Their playful, natural, and comfortable nature gives me all the feels! And I am beyond excited to capture their upcoming fall wedding! When I asked them what they were most excited about for their wedding day, they responded, “All our friends and family in one place together.” It just doesn’t get better than that!

Matt + Kaitlin | RT Lodge Wedding | Maryville, TN

As a photographer, I find it refreshing to get out of the comfort zone that Nashville has to offer and find my way into different locations with new areas to explore. Matt and Kaitlin’s stunning, spring wedding took place at RT Lodge that is tucked away into the quaint East Tennessee college town of Maryville. There was no shortage of natural, woodsy and simply unforgettable scenery at this unique wedding destination. And the gorgeous, sunny, spring day made this a location fit for a fairytale as you will see in these timeless photographs and as seen on Style Me Pretty.

What makes a couple like Matt and Kaitlin so memorable to me is the air of sweetness that surrounded them. A kind of sweetness that is strong and uninterrupted. Each picture I got to take of them truly showcases the depth of respect and love they hold for each other. Nothing captured this better than the moment they first saw each other as bride and groom. With tears in their eyes (and mine), they spoke to each other with the most sweet and gentle purpose. This deep affection spilled over into moments spent with their family and friends. Especially the moments with people like Kaitlin’s grandfather who drove from hours away to make sure he was there for that special day (she even did a first look with him!).

Family and Friends happily enjoyed the beautiful outdoor reception that offered the tastiest food! The buffet of delicate main courses and sides was an exceptional compliment to an unforgettable evening. Toasts were made and tears were shed, happy ones of course. And the energy of the night kept going strong with an incredible live band. I think the band and the guests kept each other going all the way to the end! Kaitlin, Matt and guests all danced the night away and ended it with an impressive sparkler send off!

Photography is my happy place, and couples like Matt and Kaitlin make it so easy to go there. They made every second of their wedding count. They lived in the moment and I hope they relish the memories. Memories that I was eager to catch for them and that I know will stick with me too. Thank you, Matt and Kaitlin!

Joe + Chelsea | The Cordelle Wedding

Joe and Chelsea had the most sweet and romantic wedding at The Cordelle in Nashville, TN. These two people are the most sincere, fun and loving couples I know! I have to say that I have been looking forward to their wedding all year! During our first meeting, Chelsea told me all about their love story and their wedding plans. She was full of so much excitement and energy and I just knew that she was going to be fun to work with.

Joe and Chelsea chose to have their wedding at The Cordelle. This venue is by far my favorite in Nashville! It is a venue that boasts modern and timeless and is a blank slate for each wedding. Chelsea did a wonderful job utilizing this beautiful space with neutral tones, gorgeous flowers and lots of greenery. I absolutely adore the bridesmaids dresses and the groomsmen’s suits. They are a perfect compliment to the overall aesthetic to the wedding.

All the details were wonderful, but it is Joe and Chelsea’s love that stands out the most. As you look through these images you can see how much love is between them! I am so honored to have been a part of their special day and I wish them so many years of happiness to come!!

Blake + Ellie | East Ivy Mansion Wedding | Nashville, TN

Blake and Ellie had their fun and romantic East Ivy Mansion Wedding in Nashville, TN during the beautiful fall season. This venue is in the heart of East Nashville. It is filled with so much natural beauty with all it’s trees, ponds, architecture and of course ivy. It was the perfect backdrop for Blake and Ellie and I don’t think we could have imagined that the leaves would have changed colors this fact weekend.

Ellie is an event planner and so I knew that this wedding would be styled and designed so well. She coordinated all the colors, designed the stationary and had every detail planned perfectly! She hired Premier Wed to coordinate the day and I feel as though they executed her vision so well!

So of course you can tell that the design and style of the wedding was beautiful, but that wasn’t what made this wedding so wonderful. Blake and Ellie’s love for each other is what made this day so perfect! They have a love so strong and beautiful that it radiated off of them and could be felt by everyone around them. These two are so perfect for each other and I just know that this day was the start of so many amazing years to come!
