Houston Station Romantic Classic Timeless Wedding

A Houston Station wedding in downtown Nashville was the most fitting choice for a couple like Alanna and Dave. This venue is a beautiful space for a wedding as it offers a timeless feel that is further complemented by its industrial yet glamorous vibe. It’s a place where the happy pair could showcase the strength and gentleness that is apparent in their own relationship.

I have to say, one of the most beautiful moments in Alanna and Dave’s wedding was when they exchanged their vows. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place, including mine! It was one of the many moments that made it easy to see what this couple was all about. Alanna and Dave have an incredibly beautiful connection not only to themselves but to their family and friends. In fact, when asked about what they just couldn’t live without, family was at the top of the list. Their commitment to each other and to family was a true joy to witness and I was thrilled to be able to capture the perfection of it all.

It didn’t take long to see that food and fun are some things Alanna and Dave take seriously too! The dinner service was spot on, but that biscuit bar was the real star! It was the perfect late night dancing snack that was needing to keep everyone going on the dance floor. And it worked! There was no shortage of spunkiness and letting loose on the dance floor that night. It was the perfect celebration for this incredibly special and unforgettable occasion.

I love when a pair like Alanna and Dave come along and allow me to step into a moment of their own journey. A night as ideal as this one was the perfect compliment to this beautiful, passionate, and strong couple. I truly wish nothing but the best for these newlyweds!

Tommy + Ashley| Washington D.C Fall Engagement Session

Tommy and Ashley decided to have their Fall Washington D.C Engagement Session at Rock Creek Park. It was a gorgeous fall sunrise session, full of gorgeous light and fall leaves everywhere! They both wanted a fall engagement session and couldn’t get their schedules lined up to make it to Nashville in time. I had one free weekend this fall and made the trek to see them. We couldn’t have asked for a better session! It was a beautiful sunrise, full of gorgeous light and fall leaves everywhere!

Here is what Ashley said about the proposal. I feel like it needs to be shared because it is so amazing! “My fiancee and I live in DC now, but we met in Nashville and my family lives there, so that’s where we are having our wedding. We both work in politics, and he actually proposed to me at the White House so it was the perfect spot for us – and one of my favorite stories! I thought we were going on a private tour, but he surprised me by getting down on one knee in front of the West Wing and then having my parents and 3 best friends walk out and surprise me. The surprise for both of us, however, was that the entire White House press corps happened to be outside at that exact moment, capturing it all on camera. Our story and picture ended up in the Washington Post, brides.com and on CNN the next day. It was truly surreal!”

These two are so down to earth and truly a wonderful couple. I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding next May at Loveless Barn in Nashville, TN!!!

Shaun + Olivia | Nashville Romantic Fall Wedding

Shaun and Olivia had their Nashville Fall Wedding at Charlotte Road Baptist Church. When I first met Olivia I knew that she would be the best bride. She started off her emails telling me how she was a photography major and just loved my work. She told me that she completely trusted me and my artistic vision and just had to have me. First off, that is the way to any photographer’s heart! And secondly, she was just the most sweet and sincere person I have ever met. She described her and Shaun’s relationship and you could just see the love oozing out of her body. I left our initial meeting on a love high! I was reminded of pure and sweet love and it was just so refreshing!

Even though rain came and went on Shaun and Olivia’s wedding day, they did not let it stop them from enjoying every moment. From the first look to leaving the reception, they exuded love and affection. I think it is so apparent when you look through these images, that these two are madly in love! I am so happy and honored to have gotten to witness their romantic fall wedding and watch the beginning of their story unfold.

Matt + Makenzey | Fall Engagement Session

Matt and Makenzey are getting married next spring and wanted to do a Fall Engagement Session. They decided to use Makenzey’s family farm for the location and it couldn’t have more perfect of a setting. The trees were turning gorgeous colors and the sun was setting at the best time. We had so much fun learning about each other and I can’t wait for their wedding next May at

Here is their story and some fun facts about the couple!

Please share your story, how did you meet? We initially met as juniors in high school. We were always great friends and shared the same peer group….I’m pretty sure he just liked me because of my truck. lol As we became seniors, Logan enlisted in the Army and I went college. A few years went by after high school before we spoke a word or saw each other. Then one night, I ran into Logan while I was home from school and we hit it off! 🙂 Then, he asked me out on a date and I answered by telling him I would NEVER be his girlfriend lol (and here we are bout to get married!!!) But his persistence has paid off & I couldn’t be any happier that he chose me!

How long have you been together? About 1 year & 7 months…it’ll be about 2 1/2 years in May

Any fun or interesting facts about your relationship? -We got engaged on Riverfront in Nashville under the Ghost Ballet -this is the same place we went after our first real date.

-There were several members of each of our families that knew each other before we started dating. -We’re both pretty goofy people and like to go on new adventures

What are you most excited about for the wedding day?Logan- Mine is seeing Mak in her wedding dress for the first time, I just know that I am gonna cry. and just knowing she will forever more be my wife!

Makenzey- Other than feeling like a princess for the day, knowing that I will get to go home with Logan as my husband and not my boyfriend anymore is something I look forward to the most.

Markease + Meagan | Ruby Nashville

This September we spent the day with Markease and Meagan as they got married at Ruby in Nashville, TN. This was our first wedding at this downtown Nashville venue and I truly hope that it isn’t the last! It has the perfect blend of urban and southern charm, which is perfect for this couple.

I always send out a questionnaire to my couples when they book with me. And one of the questions that I ask is, what are they looking forward to the most for their wedding. Markease and Meagan both answered that they were looking forward to marrying their best friend and celebrating with family and friends. And I would have to say that their wedding was exactly what they had hoped for. Their wedding day was such a wonderful celebration of love and friendship and I am so happy that we were able to document the start of their love story.
