Justin + Sarah// One Year Anniversary Session- Nashville, TN

There are some people that you meet in life and you immediately know that you are going to become great friends. This is exactly the case when I met Sarah. She is such a kind person and she is so much fun to be around. If you can’t tell from these pictures, she has the best laugh ever!

Her and her husband were married one year ago and wanted to celebrate with an anniversary session. They are not originally from Nashville and Sarah really wanted a fall session because it reminds her of home. So we chose Cloverbottom Mansion in Nashville, TN because it has some of the most gorgeous fall foliage and dreamy sunset.

They have modeled for local photographers and have done lots of editorial shoots, so I wanted this to be different for them. I wanted them to be themselves together. And I feel like the results are wonderful! These images are full of so much laughter and love, which I personally believe is a great foundation of a marriage. I hope these pictures will be cherished for so many years to come!

Ross + Hanna// Rock Creek Farm- Gallatin, TN

Ross and Hanna were married in October at Rock Creek Farm in Gallatin, TN. This was my first time shooting a wedding at this venue before, but I hope to come back because it was gorgeous! This venue mixed with great weather and a wonderful couple made for such a great day!

Hanna was such a stunning bride! Her gown was so beautiful and romantic! I am still swooning over the back of her dress. Hannah works at a salon, so I knew that her hair and make up would be beautiful… and it was perfection! And I think Ross agreed as well. His expression during their first look was priceless. He was so in awe of his beautiful bride!

Ross and Hanna are such a sweet and adorable couple and I wish them so many years of happiness!!!

Dan + Alissa// Iriswoods- Nashville, TN

I had the pleasure of attending the Julie Paisley Cottage workshop last fall. It was so informative and I truly learned that wedding photography is where my heart and soul resides. Julie had a styled shoot set up so we could see her in action and get some great images for ourselves! I instantly fell in love with this shoot!!!

It was styled by the oh so talented (and now bestie) Elizabeth Ulrich. She designed this wonderful fall and caramel inspired shoot for us. There was no detail left unturned and it is just full of amazing inspiration. The location was super close to my home in Mount Juliet, TN at Iriswoods, which is only about 20 minutes east of downtown Nashville. This venue is gorgeous and has so many great spots for pictures. The flowers were foraged from Nashville flower farms and just out in nature by the ever so talented Christie with The Farmers Florist. Everything was just beautiful and I hope you enjoy this gorgeous fall inspiration shoot!

Griffin & Carly// Nashville Engagement Session

Griffin and Carly are complete sweethearts! We decided to explore the Belmont University campus for their engagement session in Nashville, TN, since that is where they first met. It was a perfect fall day and I cannot wait for their wedding next June at the Bellemeade Plantation.

Here are some fun facts about the wonderful couple!

– We meet at a mutual friend from college (Belmont) ‘s birthday party. Both of us fought with the idea of actually going to the party. Its a good thing we did! I was introduced to everyone at the party when I got there, looking super hot in my sweat pants with probably dog hair on them and my signature messy bun. After I set up for the party I went home to actually look presentable. Griff was very persistent about if I was coming back or not. I came back and we spent the whole night talking. We quickly found at we had so much in common. He was from the same small county that my mom was from in Georgia. The rest is history…

– They have been dating for four and a half years!

– They love to have Netflix marathons. Playing with our dog, who is the greatest in the whole wide world!

– Favorite Foods/ Movies: Pizza, mexican, mac and cheese, pretzel crisps, mash potatoes, anything you would eat at thanksgiving. We love Sakura and Cinco de Mayo! (Omg, same here!)

Editoral Bridal Session// Houston Station- Nashville, TN

I have recently started incorporating film into my workflow. I shoot with my digital camera alongside my medium format film camera. There is something so soft and wonderful with film. I love how it makes me slow down and connect with my client more. This editorial bridal session was shot on mostly film and I am in love! My friend Sarah modeled for me and was so perfect for this shoot. She completely let me in and the results are breathtaking!

I love doing shoots like this! It gives all the vendors involved a chance to push their creativity. Houston Station was the perfect location for this shoot. With the gorgeous chipping plaster and brick wall, it set the tone for this fine art bridal session. LVD Bridal hand selected the gown and chose a lovely Anna Campbell lace beaded gown that hugged our model like a glove. We went with a modern hair updo that still has a timeless look. The flowers were the perfect compliment to the space and the dress. And the shoot wouldn’t be complete without the gorgeous vintage chair.
